Flip, Flop, to the beach we go
Written by Ellen DeLange
Illustrated by Anna Lindsten
Story behind the story
When I grew up, the world was much 'larger' than the world of todays generation of children. Digital and virtual technology too often glues them to the couche at home. As a child I loved to go out and explore. It did not matter if the sun was shining or it rained. With this little story I would like to show readers that going out is fun, especially on a warm sunny day. There is so much to see, learn and experience. When you look carefully you can see that not all animals like the heat, others prefer the cooler shade . This book is one of a series of 3. See also the other 2 titles: 'Pitter Patter goes the rain' and 'Swish Swoosh in the snow'.

This is a cute story for younger kids describing a beach adventure. I liked the rhyming and how different sounds you’d find on a beach adventure were used. The illustrations were great and really helped to tell the story. Really cute beach adventure book!

-This was THE CUTEST little book!!
-Illustrations- ON POINT!
-Bright and catchy color palette, really eye catching
-Short and sweet
This book is great for learning: sounds, beach animals, things to find at the beach, how to respect the wildlife and how to pack for a day at the beach! I could not stop smiling at the illustrations- especially the dog...reminded me so much of my own pupper! Such an adorable, light and breezy story about heading to the beach for a day of fun- making friends, sandcastles, hitting those waves, collecting shells (AND saving hermit crabs!), and so much more!
Would definitely purchase for a friend or family!

My 5yr old and I loved this book. he loves everything that has to do with it. He also had fun zooming in on the pictures and finding "secrets" as he calls them. Like the little starfish and he said the negative space in the hermit crabs claws looks like an upside down mushroom. Great book to show littles the fun you can have at the beach.
